A Burning Scout hates narcs. When approached by a Narc, a Burning Scout uses her Scout skills to outwit said narc. A Burning Scout isn't afraid of no narc. She sees him as a worthy adversary while out on the playa. As a Burning Scout, it is your sworn duty to point out and, whenever possible, embarrass any Narcotics Officer you encounter while at Burning Man. The narcs at Burning Man have been flown in special for the event and they have undergone an intensive twelve week seminar to become more familiar with the activities and the vernacular of the Burning Man participant. They should not be taken for granted. They are an elite group of blood thirsty mercenaries hell bent on making sure that the rules and regulations of the society we just left behind still remain in effect and at any cost. All scouts should ALWAYS be at their paranoid best when sniffing out Narcs. Suspect everyone...really.

There are a few easy ways you can identify a Narc while at Burningman. Narcs usually wear kilts. If you encounter a man in a kilt, do yourself a favor and look for their badge. They have to have it on them somewhere, god dammit, check under the kilt. Give the bastard a sincere patting down before you agree to buy/sell any drugs. Go ahead and porkbait them into it by offering a massage and then desperately grasp at their pockets and groin area until you find said badge.

If they are not carrying a badge it does not mean they are not a narc. Any man at Burningman who is wearing a kilt is technically a Narc, so just because they don't have a badge and scream at you that they are not a narc, don't believe them. They are narcs. They are blood thirsty animals who operate on a strict quota system for accumulating arrests while at Burning Man.

All Scoutmasters have been schooled in the different techniques as to how to dethrone a narc and will demonstrate the correct technique if asked.

If you come across any ugly narcs in particular, inform a scoutmaster.
